Over the past decade, the City of Baytown has invested much effort into creating and revitalizing its local parks. The town boasts more than 40 parks, with a variety of amenities. Many of these parks are situated on or near Goose Creek. Before its restoration, this neglected waterway was often used as a dumping ground. Now, thanks to the Goose Creek Stream Project, nearly 7 miles of bicycle-pedestrian trails have been constructed along its banks.
