Located 5117 North Main in Baytown, this park was dedicated in 1986 as part of Baytown’s celebration of the Texas Sesquicentennial. It features a statue of Ashbel Smith, one of the city’s early settlers and leader for advancement of education in Texas. Also located at the site are the 1896 Wooster School and the 1910 Brown-McKay House. The park is the site of two annual festivals sponsored by the Bay Area Heritage Society.
