What to Know Before You Go

The Baytown Nature Center has been designated a special use area by the City of Baytown. It is open daily all year round, except during extreme inclement weather. Gates open 30 minutes before sunrise and close 30 minutes after sunset.

There is an entrance fee of $3 per person. Yearly passes may also be purchased for a fee of $25 per individual or $50 per family (up to 6 people).

Motor vehicles are allowed only on designated roads and in parking areas. The speed limit is 15 mph. No vehicles, including bicycles, are allowed in natural areas, except by special permit.

Visitors to the Baytown Nature Center should expect a natural marsh area and should be properly prepared. Insect repellent is always a good idea, as is sunscreen. You may want to wear long pants and long sleeves if the weather isn’t too hot.
